Well, frankly, not as much as you might expect. For a million dollars, I would like six bedrooms, five bathrooms, three car garage, a pool, a basement, and for the home to be move-in ready. A girl can dream.

In my current zip code, 33146, which is a section of Coral Gables, Florida, there are fifteen single family homes available between $800,000 to $999,999. 4722 Alhambra Circle, a lovely Old Spanish home listed by Slesnick and Jochem for $998,000 has three bedrooms and bathrooms, a beautiful pool and interesting ceiling features. The kitchen and bathrooms could do with an update.

Before we moved to Miami in 2004, we lived in Chicago. Old Town, 60610, to be exact where 347 Evergreen Avenue is for sale. Brookwood Hills features a pool, tennis courts and park in the center of the neighborhood, and by all accounts, the neighbors are a very close bunch.

So, each zip code has an option for buyers with a price range up to $999,999. Here at home in Miami, the EWM 2017 Real Estate Market Outlook reports that 46% of all single family home sales in Miami were in the $300,000 to $999,999 price range.
